As an alarm monitoring
organization, Lanvac®
is committed to protecting the
confidentiality of all information presented by
alarm dealers and/or their subscribers. The
information so provided will be used exclusively
to manage the dealer’s accounts and to provide
monitoring services to its subscribers.
Said information will only be
accessible to employees of
Lanvac®
while carrying out their duties
in regard to data entry, monitoring of alarm
accounts and managing the data regarding the
account.
Lanvac®
does not collect any personal
information regarding dealer or its subscribers
except that information that is required for
Lanvac®
to perform its function as an
alarm monitoring company.
All information received at
Lanvac®
is kept in a secured database
protected by the most advanced technology
available.
As required by Underwriters’
Laboratories of Canada (ULC), all telephone
calls to and from the alarm monitoring stations
operated by Lanvac® are
recorded. Information obtained in this manner
is held in strict confidence and is only
referred to by authorized personnel in the
performance of their duties at
Lanvac®
. Recordings may
be shared with police, fire and/or emergency
authorities and insurance representatives in the
performance of an investigation subsequent to an
event.
Lanvac®
does not share any information
provided to it with any other party without the
express written permission of the dealer and its
subscriber.
